Description

The Digital Marketing Manager’s primary areas of responsibility are web content and design management, email marketing, database management and campaign reporting and analytics. Within this role they are responsible for the design, production, modification, maintenance, testing and optimization of forward-facing interfaces such as websites and emails. This position is a key marketing role. They will work closely with the team to plan, execute, and report on digital marketing campaigns and strategies, as well as collaborate with various internal and external stakeholders to provide excellent service and ensure campaign success.

Essential Functions:

Web Design and Content Management

  • Create and maintain high-performing, mobile responsive, customer-facing webpages for the organization using Drupal, Hubspot and more. Collaborate with marketing team members, internal stakeholders and the design team to manage new and existing site content, style and appearance.

Email Marketing

  • Design and create HTML emails for all outgoing email communications which includes: building email templates and optimizing email messages and layouts, implementing tracking, sending and reporting results. Strong knowledge of Hubspot, Salesforce, HTML, email best practices, mobile responsiveness, and CAN-SPAM compliance is required.

List Optimization

  • Take the lead on managing database contacts. This position, in conjunction with campaign managers, will be responsible for list retention, engagement monitoring, nurturing leads and ensuring an effective communication flow with ISTE members and prospects.

Tracking and Reporting

  • Utilize Google Analytics, and other reporting software to provide regular reporting of online marketing performance and patterns in user activity. Provide regular tracking and insights on digital campaigns, including email metrics. Develop customized dashboards and reports as needed. Leverage internal data and market trends to make performance-based recommendations for implementation improvements. Effectively communicate channel performance and test learnings to the broader marketing team, stakeholders and leadership.

Supervisory Responsibilities: Contractors

Other Duties and Responsibilities:

Project and Stakeholder Management - take a project management role when working on specific digital projects including, but not limited to event website(s) design and implementation, software integration, stakeholder training and relationship building, and SEO initiatives.

Contractor Management - hire, onboard, and manage outside contractors to support web and other digital marketing work.



Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing and communications or a related field, or a minimum of three years of related experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may also be acceptable.
  • 3-5 years of work experience in digital marketing.
  • Experience in HTML, CSS and expertise in Website CMS (Drupal and Hubspot), Marketing Automation (Hubspot), Google Analytics, and CRM (Salesforce).
  • Experience in email marketing design and development, email marketing software, mobile responsive, and CAN-SPAM compliance.
  • Basic knowledge of search engine optimization.
  • Experience with Adobe creative suite, creating or editing files.

Physical and Environmental Elements:

This position primarily works in a temperature controlled office environment. ISTE’s office spaces include traditional office lighting as well as frequent noise, interruptions and other similar ambient distractions.   • Some business travel may be required, via traditional modes of transportation (including airline travel), some of which may involve one or more overnight stays away from home.
  • The position must occasionally lift, transport and/or move up to approximately 30 pounds in the performance of regular duties.
